Standards group accepts Oakwood
Chagford-based home improvement company Oakwood Home Improvements Ltd has been accepted as a member of the respected trade organisation Network VEKA.
The company, based on Stone Lane, had to go through rigorous vetting before being accepted but, as MD Brian Johnston explained, that is only the beginning of the scrutiny the company must now undergo:
“The whole principle of Network VEKA is the standard of quality and integrity that it sets for its members,” he added.
“The organisation will not only run a regular audit of factors such as our staff training and use of guarantees but will actually survey every one of our future customers to monitor how good a job we have done.
“It’s a tough regime but we are sure we are up to it.”
The company was incorporated in 2002, and owner Brian Johnston has over 26 years experience of designing and installing high quality windows, doors and conservatories for customers throughout Devon and the surrounding area.
Network VEKA represents almost 140 independent window and conservatory companies all over Britain and Ireland. This year, members will carry out more than 16,000 installations to the value of nearly £65 million.
