Oakwood Home Improvements specialist solar energy systems are custom made to suit your homes individual needs incorporating the latest condensing boiler technology, underfloor heating or traditional radiator system. The system is then coupled to a high performance stainless steel solar cylinder. This specialist solar storage system can incorporate electric heating systems or even oil fired boilers with a specific cylinder configuration.
On average 70% of the heated water required within your home could be sourced by solar energy.
How Solar Works?
Solar panels collect energy from the sun, which heats the fluid within the solar panel.
This solar heated fluid is then pumped around the coil within the cylinder, which heats the water contained within the system. The solar controller manages the solar system during daylight hours, which enables you to store heat in order for you to time your hot water just like a traditional heating programmer. If the temperature sensor detects that not enough solar heat has been collected to heat the water required, a supplementary heat source will top up the temperature.
